1.5 hour drive from Budapest, or 2 hours by train.

Near By: In Balatonfenyves you can walk to shopping, restaurants, bars & the outdoor cinema. Along the beach shore you will find boat, sailboard, bicycle & moped rentals. The lake offers abundant warm shallow water with soft sand underfoot which allows safe swimming for the whole family. Take the small train to the luxurious Csiszta-Puszta thermal bath only 20 minutes away, or the large train to Keszthely to see Festetics Castle. From the neighboring town of Fonyod you can take a passenger ferry to the beautiful Badacsony vineyards.
